Real Madrid are the best represented club in the team of eleven players, which is completed by Buffon (Juventus), Dani Alves (Juventus and PSG), Chiellini (Juventus), De Bruyne (Manchester City), Hazard (Chelsea) and Messi (Barcelona).
Cristiano Ronaldo, has been selected for the twelfth time and has the most ever appearances in the list. Ramos has also featured heavily in the past, and this marks his seventh inclusion, sixth in a row. The madridista captain received the most votes. Kroos was included for the third time in his career, while Marcelo and Modric now have two appearances each in the prestigious list.
