STADIUM Cheras is now more lively with the presence of two supporters.

KUALA LUMPUR: The stadium sharing between the Klang Valley, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur traditional enemy teams will make Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium (KLFA) in Cheras such as the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza or San Siro in Italy.

Everything is sure to make Selangor a place for Kuala Lumpur as their own site after their application for the newly-restored stadium gets the green light of the Malaysian Football Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) today.

If in Italy, San Siro hosts AC Milan and Inter Milan giants and now Selangor and Kuala Lumpur share the same stadium.

For Red Giants coaches, P Maniam, though hopefully his men can play in the Shah Alam Stadium, but the KLFA Stadium can also spark their privilege.

"Indeed we are still hoping to take part in our own home, Shah Alam Stadium, but we can not continue to complain otherwise willing to play anywhere in the courts.

"The players understand this situation and they are ready to play at KLFA Stadium or Stadium Selayang, but it is not a problem to share the stadium with local enemy forces, but in Italy, AC Milan and Inter Milan also share the stadium.

"This will provide good publicity and this may attract more supporters to come," he said when contacted today.

Following the turmoil between the state government and the Selangor Football Association (FAS), Maniam's squad was not allowed to play at the Shah Alam Stadium since last season to force them to move to the Selayang Stadium.

However, over the problem of floodlights, the Selayang Stadium can only be used in the afternoon if Selangor wants to use the stadium this season.

Selangor will head to the KLFA Stadium for the opening event of the Super League this Sunday, the first meeting since Kuala Lumpur was upgraded to elite competition after six years.
