Noel Gallagher joined Fenners, Jimmy Bullard and Lloyd Griffith on the Soccer AM sofa this week and shared his thoughts on Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's quadruple hopes, missing out on Alexis Sanchez and whether they can win the Champions League.
Here's what he had to say on all things City...
What a time it is to be a City fan…
"It's all good. I was saying before the show that we are waiting for the blip but it's not happened yet. It's a joy to watch at the moment."

Is the quadruple a possibility?
"I don't think we'll win all four. I don't think we are quite there for the Champions League just yet. If we'd got Alexis Sanchez we might have had a bit more of a chance but in terms of the league no one is getting the tattoo yet but there's a chance we could do two trophies.
"However, United getting Sanchez is a game changer. It's a game changer for them because it gives them a fighting chance in the Champions League."
Were you gutted about missing out on Sanchez?
"I wouldn't say I was gutted but I would've had him because he's brilliant."

Do you think you needed him?
"No we didn't need him, it would've been a little bit greedy I suppose. United needed him more for sure and that's why they paid all the money for him.
"He gives them a fighting chance in the Champions League now and you just know he's going to score the winner in the derby, but hopefully it will be all tied up by then."
Is there any doubt in your mind that you don't win the league?
"It's not over but if we don't win it, who else will?"

City are favourites for the Champions League and look likely to progress beyond Basel in the last 16. Who don't you want to play should you get through to the Champions League quarter-finals?
"I don't want to play Liverpool and I don't want to play United. Liverpool would put us out for sure.
"They are weird games the Champions League games against English teams but if we could avoid Liverpool or United you never know."

Let's say City win the league this year and the Champions League either this year or next year...
"I hope it is next year as I have a gig on the same night as [this year's] final.
"Somehow someone has wangled that I'm on stage when the final is on. I've been trying to get out of the gig."
How can you get out of it?
"If we get to the final and I'm on stage, as long as we win I wouldn't care but I've been trying to get my management to get me out of it.
"However, they've been saying the minute I pull the gig that City will go out in the next round."

If you do win the Champions League, do you worry about Pep leaving for another project?
"He's not going to leave I don't think. Please don't leave!
"I don't know, I can see him staying for a while actually. I can see him being there for five years and I think the reason they got him was to lay down the foundations for a style of play that will carry on.
"He's a one-off, there are no coaches like him so when he does eventually leave, I don't know."

What have you made of Pep's reign so far?
"I think he's doing something really special there.
"I still think against the big teams we need David Silva playing and all the big guns out but against the rest, once we get to the run in when teams need points, it should open up a bit. We've got big players to come back in Benjamin Mendy and Gabriel Jesus.
Kevin De Bruyne has been a crucial figure for City
"What's interesting is that in the first season he didn't win anything but he's gone this is what I need and from the first game they've been getting late, late winners and there seems to be an amazing team spirit. The second half of the season is going to be tough because everyone has strengthened. United are going to be there."
What did you make of the incident involving Nathan Redmond and Pep?
Following the full time whistle, Pep Guardiola appeared to have a big rant against Nathan Redmond, seemingly shouting in the wingers face.
"To be quite honest I've seen him be like that with my two lads in the tunnel.
"Genuinely, we went to the Liverpool game last season and we went back to see him and he got down on his haunches and asked them what they thought of the game. They said it was great but he was saying we didn't win. He was giving it to them.
"I was thinking do you want to come and be my nanny?
"I can see how he can get into a young player's head. Look what he's done with Fabian Delph, turning him into a left-back. No-one saw that coming and it's put him in the frame for the World Cup."
